Cramer & Anderson joins the Greater New Milford community in cheering on the New Milford Pride 12U-A travel baseball team as it heads to the Cal Ripken World Series July 29 to Aug. 6 in Aberdeen, Md., after winning the New England Regional Tournament July 21.

As the Platinum Sponsor of the team’s trip to the regional championship, held in Dover, N.H., Cramer & Anderson feels a special connection to the New Milford Pride.

The team advanced to the Cal Ripken World Series with four straight wins in the New England tournament, capped by a 10-9, walk-off victory July 21 over the team from Hudson, Mass.

In an email to Cramer & Anderson Attorney Barry Moller, parent Susan Keywork (Dickinson) wrote, “Barry! We won! Cole hit [a] walk off [single] to win 10-9. He is awarded Player of the game! We report to Aberdeen Maryland
next Thursday as Team New England!!!”

It was particular fitting that Cole Dickinson hit the clutch single to drive in the winning run, as the firm’s sponsorship of the team came about through Attorney Moller’s longstanding business relationship with Cole’s father, master baker Rick Dickinson.

Attorney Moller, whose areas of specialty include Workers’ Compensation cases, has long distributed gourmet cupcakes to physiciaPride vs Newtown team picstate champ game 2016 195ns’ practices with which he has affiliations—cupcakes created by Rick Dickinson, who owned the beloved bakery Great Cakes in Westport and now works at Peter’s Weston Market.

“And their brilliant,” Attorney Moller said of the cupcakes, just like the run being enjoyed by the New Milford Pride.

In the second game of the regional tournament, for example, the local team faced the Rhode Island State Champion team from Cranston, considered a very tough opponent. With a 10-run mercy rule in play, the New Milford Pride won 14-4 in four innings.

Attorney Moller, who works in the firm’s New Milford office, said he expects Cramer & Anderson to continue its sponsorship of the New Milford Pride, which also has a Go Fund Me page with a goal of raising $25,000.

“On Thursday July 28th, the New Milford Pride team will embark on a once in a lifetime, dream come true journey for any young ball player,” the message on the page says. “We are proud to have them represent the town of New Milford, the State of CT, and the entire New England Region, as TEAM NEW ENGLAND!”sponsor thanks

The Cal Ripken World Series championship weekend is Aug. 5 and 6 and games will be shown on Fox Sports 2 and MLB.com. The U.S. Championship game is at 5 p.m. Aug. 5, and the International Championship game airs at 7:30 p.m. that evening. The World Championship game begins at 8 p.m. on Aug. 6.

Amid the run up to the World Series, Cole Dickinson stopped to visit Attorney Moller and thank him for arranging the Cramer & Anderson sponsorship. Cole plays third base, just like one of Attorney Moller’s heroes, Hall of Famer Brooks Robinson, who played for the Baltimore Orioles.

Cole mentioned that Robinson’s name has been summoned in praise for his performance, and he and Attorney Moller posed for a picture with the attorney’s baseball signed by Brooks Robinson.

Seems like a good omen for World Series success!

Cramer & Anderson also has offices in Litchfield, Danbury, Washington and Kent. See the firm’s website for more information.
