Attorney Josh Weinshank, leader of Cramer & Anderson’s Fairfield County Trust and Estate Planning and Administration Group, has been named the new Vice Chair of the Western Connecticut Health Network’s Legacy Society.

The Legacy Society recognizes donors who include WCHN or its Hospitals in estate plans through wills, trusts, annuities or other charitable giving vehicles. Attorney Weinshank hopes to connect with donors from his generation and assist them in including WCHN or its Hospitals in their estate planning.

The appointment, announced in the Hospitals’ Catalyst magazine, adds to Attorney Weinshank’s community service roles with WCHN. He is a member of Danbury HospitalNew Milford Hospital Foundation Associate Board of Directors, and also was named recently to the Patient Advisory Council.

“The Foundations of Western Connecticut Health Network are extremely fortunate to be the beneficiary of Attorney Josh Weinshank’s time and talent as both a member of the Associate Board of Directors and as Vice Chairman of the Legacy Society,” says Grace Linhard, Chief Development Officer for WCHN.

“Supporting your local hospital is one of the most important endeavors to better our community,” Attorney Weinshank said in the Catalyst story, noting how thriving hospitals build a strong sense of community, create employment opportunities, and make towns and cities in each Hospital’s service area more appealing to individuals, families, and corporations.

In other volunteer roles, Attorney Weinshank serves on the Board of the Ridgefield Playhouse and Finance Committee of the Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association.

Attorney Weinshank and his wife, Steffani, who live in Ridgefield and have two young daughters, were impressed by the Danbury Hospital maternity care team’s holistic approach and the Doula Program. They anticipate using the Hospital for their healthcare needs as their young family grows.

A 2018 Super Lawyers Rising Star and Connecticut Law Tribune 017 New Leader in the Law, Attorney Weinshank focuses his practice on Trust and Estate Planning, Elder Law, and Trust and Probate administration.
