Cramer & Anderson Senior Partner Josh Weinshank is giving a March 12 presentation entitled Estate Planning Playbook for Caregivers on behalf of the Goldstone Caregiver Center, Faith Community Nurse Program, and the Danbury & New Milford Hospitals Legacy Society.
The presentation will take place from 12 to 1:30 p.m. on ZOOM. Guests are asked to register in advance for the free event.
“As a caregiver, it can be stressful to deal with the day-to-day responsibilities of caregiving, as well as worrying about the future,” the presentation flier notes.
Attorney Weinshank will explain the importance of having an estate plan in place before needing it. He will review essential estate planning documents to have, the importance of choosing people to appointed positions in those documents, and the importance of communicating wishes to the caregivers.
He will also discuss asset protection strategies, should someone need long term care, and the benefits of charitable giving.
Attorney Weinshank is a member of the Board of Directors for Danbury and New Milford hospitals, and Chair of the Legacy Society for Danbury and New Milford Hospitals, which recognizes donors who include the hospitals in their estate planning. The hospitals are part of Nuvance Health.
The Resident Partner in Cramer & Anderson’s Ridgefield office, Attorney Weinshank’s practice focuses on Trust and Estate Planning, Asset Protection, Trust and Probate administration, and Elder Law.

In addition to his roles with Nuvance Health, Attorney Weinshank is a corporator for Union Savings Bank and a member of the Development Committee of RVNAhealth, among other community service roles.
