The holidays will be merrier for two New Milford families thanks to the Santa Fund efforts of Cramer & Anderson attorneys and staff.
This holiday season marks the 10th year the firm has participated in the New Milford Social Services Santa Fund.
Attorneys and staff give contributions, Social Services provides the firm with families’ wish lists, and Paralegal Denise Maytas goes shopping to find the perfect gifts.
“Denise and her family do all the shopping and they do an amazing job,” said Jeremy Ruman, legal assistant to Partner Art Weinshank.
The wrapping session for the outfits, books and toys took place Dec. 10 this year in the New Milford office, and the gifts are then delivered to Social Services at the John Pettibone Community Center.
“It’s a really lovely way to get in the holiday spirit,” said Ruman, who coordinates the firm’s Santa Fund participation.
“All of us are thankful for the effort that Jeremy and Denise put into this program each year, bringing us together to help out folks in need,” said Partner John Tower.
Social Services helps hundreds of families during the holiday season through the Santa Fund and other initiatives, and posted a Top 10 list of ways people can help on Facebook and the Town of New Milford website.
“The holiday season has begun and we are gearing up to help hundreds of families,” the November Facebook post said. “There are many ways to help our neighbors in need during this time of year. We have shared our Top 10 with you. Please share with others and help us spread the word. You can also find this list on our webpage at www.newmilford.org.
