Cramer & Anderson Plays Santa in New Milford Once Again

Santa Fund New Milford 2025

Cramer & Anderson attorneys and staff once again joined together to make a meaningful donation to the New Milford Santa Fund as part of a holiday tradition for the firm that extends back more than 25 years.

The Santa Fund, which anonymously matches local donors with families in need, will make this holiday season brighter for more than 500 children and families.

“I just wanted to send out a great big thank you to everyone who contributed to this year’s Santa Fund. Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we collected $530,” Jeremy Ruman, legal assistant to Partner Art Weinshank, wrote in an email to attorneys and staff.

Ruman, who oversees the Santa Fund donation for the firm, noted that Cramer & Anderson’s “elves” purchased $500 in gift cards from Amazon and Kohl’s, and the remaining cash was dropped off along with the gift cards at the New Milford Social Services Department on Dec. 8.

“They were absolutely thrilled,” she said in the email.

Overseen by Social Services, the Santa Fund program serves families with custodial children up to age 18 and provides gift cards for new clothes and a special gift/toy item requested by the parent.  In addition, Santa’s helpers are usually able to include hats and gloves, books or games, and gift card for to help with a holiday meal.

Other Holiday Season Donations

Partner Lisa Rivas and her family dropped off the firm’s donation to the DANBURY’S 98Q Bags & Bears holiday drive on Dec. 6 inside the food court at the Danbury Fair Mall.

They got to catch up with 98Q Rich Minor In The Morning, who broadcasts live as part of the drive to collect holiday toys and more for area children in foster care. Learn more about Bags & Bears: 98q.com/pages/98q-bags-bears-2025

Partner Graham Moller dropped off the firm’s annual donation to Camella’s Cupboard Food Pantry for Children in New Milford on Nov. 20. This year’s donation consisted of diapers, milk, water, snacks, and food, and it was larger than last year’s due to the increased need this season.

The mission of Camella’s Cupboard is to provide year-round hunger relief to children, seniors, and other vulnerable populations in the Greater New Milford. Families with children younger than 18 that find themselves in need can sign up for food assistance from Camella’s Cupboard.

Cramer & Anderson is also once again participating in the United Way of Northwest Connecticut’s Stock the Shelves food drive.

The firm’s effort, led by Litchfield office Paralegal Peggy C. Geddes, includes donation collection bins that were placed in the lobbies of the Litchfield and New Milford offices in November, and will remain throughout December based on the need this season and United Way’s positive response to the firm’s donations thus far.
