“Our Founding Partner Henry B. “Hank” Anderson, who received his share of awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018, would be very proud of this Best Law Firm award because it’s an affirmation of his philosophy that we must provide engaged, caring, and professional legal services, and an absolute dedication to our clients’ best interests and advancing their cause,” said Partner Randy DiBella, a Litchfield resident who joined Cramer & Anderson in 1997 and treasures the conversations he had with Anderson about the law.

On being named Best Estate Planning Lawyer for a fifth year, Attorney White said, “It’s a tremendous honor to win any award like this, but to win it for five straight years based on the votes of folks who live in the northwest Connecticut and Greater Waterbury regions we serve is very gratifying.”

“Being named Best Personal Injury Lawyer once again is a great honor,” Attorney Sochacki said, “and having Cramer & Anderson named Best Law Firm makes it more special. Our attorneys and staff work as a team to provide clients with our trademark ‘sophisticated services, close to home,’ and it’s heartening to receive affirmation of the firm’s positive impact.”

Attorneys White and Sochacki are both based in the firm’s Litchfield office.

Cramer & Anderson's flagship office in New Milford, CTThe firm’s origins date to the Civil War, when John H. Hubbard, a member of Congress, began his law practice in Litchfield. Nicknamed “Old Connecticut” by President Lincoln, Hubbard practiced law until his death in 1872. His son, John T. Hubbard, who served as probate judge for Litchfield, took over the practice and Hubbard & Cramer was created in 1928, when David Cramer joined Judge Hubbard in the practice of law. In 1962, Cramer and his partners merged with Hank Anderson’s New Milford firm and Cramer & Anderson was born.

The firm’s flagship office is located in the historic Elijah Boardman House in New Milford, built in 1793 for the prominent businessman and U.S. Senator.
