Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield Names Attorney Weinshank to Board

Cramer & Anderson Attorney Josh Weinshank Meals on Wheels of RidgefieldCramer & Anderson Senior Partner Josh Weinshank, the firm’s Fairfield County Trust and Estate Planning and Administration Group Leader, has been named to the Board of Directors of Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield.

Attorney Weinshank’s practice focuses on Trust and Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Administration, Asset Protection, and Elder Law & Special Needs.

“I’m honored to join the Board of this vital Ridgefield nonprofit, which has been providing meals to residents who need assistance for 50 years,” said Attorney Weinshank, the Resident Senior Partner in the firm’s Ridgefield office.

“The meals are provided for free by a part-time staff of just five and more than 160 dedicated volunteers. Efforts like this one make our community a wonderful place to live,” Attorney Weinshank said.

Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield provides nourishment to any Ridgefield residents who cannot prepare their own meals, including the elderly, disabled and infirm, as well as those recovering from surgery or illness. Meals have been free since May 2021.

Having begun by delivering 24 meals a week in 1972 from the basement of Saint Mary School, Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield now prepares and delivers more than 40,000 meals a year from its commercial kitchen in Ballard Green.

Lunch and dinner are available up to seven days a week. That requires raising $360,000 a year to cover operating expenses, as no federal or state aid is received.
