Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Prepare and send medical record requests to healthcare providers, hospitals, and insurance companies.
- Provide general legal assistant support to attorneys and staff when required.

- Maintain accurate and confidential client files in compliance with HIPAA and firm policies.
- Communicate professionally with providers, clients, and internal staff regarding medical documentation.

Skills

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team in Danbury, CT. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various areas of law, including, but not limited to, land use, municipal law, tax appeals, civil litigation, and appellate litigation. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a commitment to providing exceptional support to attorneys and clients alike. The Paralegal will play a vital role in legal research, document management, and case preparation. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research using platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw
- Assist in drafting legal documents, contracts, and correspondence
- Open and manage case files and maintain organized documentation using document management systems
- Review and proofread legal documents for accuracy and compliance
- Provide executive administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars , answering phone calls, attend to the front door, entering attorney time, review and prepare monthly invoices, and coordinating with local municipalities

Skills
