Attorney Casagrande Named to CT Super Lawyers List Again

Super Lawyers 2023 honors for Cramer & Anderson Municipal Law Partner Dan CasagrandeCramer & Anderson Municipal Law Partner Dan Casagrande has been named to the Connecticut Super Lawyers list for a second consecutive year in the State, Local & Municipal category.

Super Lawyers is a top honor reserved for outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.

Only 5 percent of attorneys in Connecticut receive the distinction each year. The selection process combines peer nominations and evaluations with independent research.

The 2023 Super Lawyers designation follows several other prestigious honors for Attorney Casagrande this year.

This past summer, he won a Distinguished Leaders Award as part of the first ever New England Legal Awards, in part for his string of notable positive outcomes in 2022.

Last spring, Attorney Casagrande was awarded AV Preeminent status from Martindale-Hubbell. AV Preeminent, a peer honor based on reviews from other attorneys, is Martindale-Hubbell’s highest rating and among the most respected in the legal world.

“This rating signifies that the lawyer’s peers rank them at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards,” Martindale-Hubbell explains.

In early 2023, Attorney Casagrande was named a Fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation (CBF) James W. Cooper Fellows Program. Fellows are nominated by their peers based on outstanding service to the profession and larger community and are elected by the CBF Board of Directors.

“I’m humbled and honored to be selected to the Super Lawyers list once again, especially in a year that has been so kind with honors and awards,” Attorney Casagrande said. “As I said last year, honors and awards for myself and my deserving colleagues are most gratifying because they reflect our commitment to clients across the roughly 20 practice areas we offer. We strive to deliver optimal outcomes not only as professionals but also because we truly care.”

Attorney Casagrande’s 2023 honors and awards add to a long list of distinctions, including being named a Marvin J. Glink Private Practice Local Government Lawyer of the Year by the International Municipal Lawyers Association (IMLA) in 2019.

In 2018, he was honored as the “Giant Slayer” among Connecticut counsel as part of the Connecticut Law Tribune’s professional excellence awards for his high-profile work on behalf of towns and cities, notably in major tax appeal cases.

The 2023 Super Lawyers list is published in the Super Lawyers Magazine, as well appearing as a special section in the November issue of Connecticut Magazine

Among Attorney Casagrande’s colleagues, Immigration Law Partner Lisa Rivas was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2021, and Trusts & Estates Partner Josh Weinshank was twice named a Super Lawyers Rising Star.
