“New Milford remains a beautiful, largely rural town. It’s great place to live and also welcoming to businesses,” said Partner Randy DiBella, who has served as Town Attorney for New Milford since 2004. “Our flagship office is located here in the 1793 Elijah Boardman house, so we get to enjoy the historic town center every day, and there are exciting things happening along the riverfront.”

New Milford is seeking a $200,000 state grant to assess brownfield properties that are part of the Public Works facility on Young’s Field and Housatonic Avenue, according to a Hearst Connecticut story, as part of a plan to seek proposals for the next phase of riverfront revitalization.

The view to the west from the RiverFest site, Young’s Field Park, looks toward Candlewood Mountain, which Cramer & Anderson played a role in safeguarding from “environmental devastation” when it was threatened by plans for a major solar power operation that had been approved by the Connecticut Siting Council.

Working with Attorney DiBella and representing the Town of New Milford and the group Rescue Candlewood Mountain in legal action, Municipal Law Partner Dan Casagrande was able to secure a settlement that dramatically limits the scope of the project, as well as preserving almost 90 acres of Candlewood Mountain as conservation land.
