Trusted Legal Counsel in Trying Times: Cramer & Anderson

The COVID-19 coronavirus crisis has news reports filled with dire warnings about a recession, or depression, and comparisons to the difficulties of life during wartime for Americans in the past.

Beyond taking all appropriate and government recommended measures to stay safe and get past the “curve” of the coronavirus, what’s needed most at this time is hope, perseverance—and steady counsel.

Cramer & Anderson has provided that trusted legal counsel to generations of families and business owners through the greatest crises our country has faced, including the Great Depression, recessions, wars, and periods of political and economic turmoil.

The firm’s origins date back to the Civil War era, when John Henry Hubbard, a member of Congress and Salisbury, Conn., native, began his law practice in Litchfield.

The firm Hubbard created went through several transitions and became Cramer & Anderson in 1962, the year of the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Founding Partner Henry B. “Hank” Anderson, the son of a dentist, was a World War II Naval hero who survived kamikaze attacks on two ships in the South Pacific. There wasn’t a crisis he wouldn’t confront and couldn’t conquer.

That tradition is carried on by Cramer & Anderson’s team of 24 attorneys based in regional offices in New Milford, Litchfield, Kent, Washington Depot, Danbury, and Ridgefield.

Our firm covers all of western Connecticut, including Fairfield County, and has clients throughout the state.

Whatever your legal concern, our team approach and history in providing sophisticated legal services across nearly 20 Practice Areas means we have the experience to provide answers for any need or situation.

Together we will get past the coronavirus crisis.
