Cramer & Anderson’s attorneys and staff teamed up for a firm donation of food to Camella’s Cupboard, the New Milford-based nonprofit that provides year-round hunger relief to children, seniors, and other vulnerable populations in the Greater New Milford community.

Inspired by a story in the Greater New Milford Spectrum, Partners Jennifer Collins and Lisa Rivas organized the food drive and donations were dropped off Tuesday at Camella’s Cupboard.

“Cramer & Anderson strongly values giving back to the communities that are home to our six regional offices and when we saw this opportunity to help, we knew we had to get involved,” Attorney Collins said. “We were so impressed when we dropped off our donation at Camella’s Cupboard’s location in the school district’s Lillis Administration Building, and to see participants in the district’s special education young adult program helping out with stocking and bagging items wonderfully reflected what Thanksgiving is all about.”

“Our community involvement often takes the form of providing professional assistance, as Partner Randy DiBella does for New Milford Ambulance and Water Witch Hose Co. # 2, but during the pandemic we also began providing donations with a more direct impact,” added Attorney Rivas.

Last year, for example, the legal staff in the Danbury office collected monetary donations from attorneys and staff and partnered with the Women’s Center of Greater Danbury to create a holiday gift basket to help a local family have brighter holidays.

Also in 2020, our Litchfield office donated gift cards for meals from local restaurants to Litchfield Volunteer Ambulance (LVA) and the Town of Litchfield’s Social Services Department.

In Danbury, the firm donated funds to purchase dinners for the EMTs and Paramedics in the Emergency Medical Services department at Danbury Hospital as a gesture of thanks, support, and gratitude for the frontline medical personnel and first responders.
