Super Lawyers Names Attorney Weinshank a Rising Star for 2nd Year

Super Lawyers has named Cramer & Anderson Partner Josh Weinshank a Rising Star for a second year in a row.

The prestigious designation is announced in the Super Lawyers special section published in the November issue of Connecticut Magazine.

“I’m truly honored to be named a Super Lawyers Rising Star for a second consecutive year, especially after winning a 40 Under 40 award from the Fairfield County Business Journal this past Spring,” said Attorney Weinshank, leader of the firm’s Fairfield County Trust and Estate Planning and Administration Group, and Resident Partner in the Ridgefield office. 

“In one way these honors are a testament to the energy and high level of engagement we’re bringing to the expansion of Cramer & Anderson into Lower Fairfield County,” Attorney Weinshank said.

Super Lawyers is a rating service that honors outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement, the website explains. The selection process includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluation.

The Super Lawyers Rising Star designation is only given to 2.5% of attorneys in Connecticut. Attorney Weinshank’s Super Lawyers profile is listed under Estate Planning & Probate attorneys in Ridgefield, Conn.

In addition to his most recent honors, Attorney Weinshank also won a Connecticut Law Tribune 2017 New Leader in the Law award.

Focusing his practice on Trust and Estate Planning, Elder Law, Trust and Probate Administration, and Tax Planning, Attorney Weinshank works with clients to preserve and create intergenerational wealth by addressing tax and personal concerns. He offers strategies to reduce estate and gift taxes, along with addressing income tax concerns through the management of capital gains and the appreciation of assets. 

Attorney Weinshank also focuses on asset protection and Title XIX (Medicaid) Planning, advising clients on ways to preserve assets while qualifying for governmental assistance programs. 

A resident of Ridgefield with his wife, Steffani, and their two daughters, Attorney Weinshank volunteers in several community service roles. Attorney Weinshank is Chair of the Western Connecticut Health Network (WCHN) Legacy Society, which recognizes donors who include WCHN or its Hospitals in estate plans through wills, trusts, annuities or other charitable giving vehicles. He is also a member of Danbury Hospital & New Milford Hospital Foundation Associate Board of Directors, as well as the Patient Advisory Council..

Additionally, Attorney Weinshank serves on the Finance Committee of the Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association.
